Fish Figure Pot/NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ANTHROPOLOGY

(2500 B.C- 200 A.D) This elegant piece in the form of a fish belonged to the talented, multifaceted artist “Miguel Covarrubias”. This work highlights the Olmec traditional technique of using polished black clay. The artists left the stomach and its fins without polishing, so the contrasting textures would embellish the object. HANDCRAFTED REPLICA USING ANCESTRAL TECNIQUES.
