Big Duck from Tlatilco /NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ANTHROPOLOGY

(2500 B.C - 200 A.D) The duck is associated with ancestral rituals among the pre-Hispanic people, especially among the antique inhabitants from the center of México. During those times, long lacustrine extensions existed where ducks arrived in a specific time of the year. It was believed these ducks were ancestral spirits which came back to this life, when some ritual practices were done.
