(900 - 1521 A.D) This piece is modeled in glazed ceramic (original is carved in obsidian). The recipient has the form of a monkey holding its tail like if it were a handle. This animal is associated with the cult of Ehecatl- Quetzalcoatl deity, the god of the wind. The black color represents the rail clouds which the wind would bring.
